New Year: New Blogs to Read in 2010

Happy New Year! Happy New Year 2010

To kick of 2010, here are four writing-centric blogs I’m adding to my BlogRoll. If you know of great blogs for writers that aren’t listed, be sure to recommend them in the comments.

  1. Hell or High Water. Beth Morrissey, a librarian turned freelance writer, blogs about the writing life and also posts opportunities, such as contests and calls for anthologies. I also follow her on Twitter: she is witty, personable and gracious.
  2. Lisa Romeo Writes. You’ve probably noticed me linking to Lisa’s blog lately. Her posts—especially those about writing and publishing personal essays—have quickly become top picks in my Google Reader.
  3. She Writes. This site is actually a network for writers; men are welcome to join, too. She Writes founders and many members are striving to raise visibility of works written and published by women. I’ve just scratched the surface of the group and the resources its members offer, so I’m looking forward to becoming more involved in 2010. (You don’t have to be published to be a member.)
  4. Copyblogger. The writing on this blog is outstanding and it’s a fantastic resource for pumping your own prose.

What will be your must-read writing sites for 2010? Please share in the comments.

  1. I guess a guy shouldn’t call attention to himself, and you don’t have to add me to your blogroll, but if any of you want to read physician bluegrass fiction check out my site. As far as I know I’m the only one in the genre.
