I know it’s been a hectic week when I check my Google Reader on a Friday morning and realize that I didn’t post today’s Cognitive Connection! Like many of my fellow freelancers, I found business drastically picking up just as children starting filling their backpacks with new school supplies. I’m creatively energized by several of my new projects—and I’m appreciating my free time on the weekends more than ever.
The links here should give you plenty of reading options for your weekend. Have a great one!

- New York Press Flavor of the Week: Lincoln Tunnel of Love. Don’t miss this great personal essay by fellow freelance writer Steph Auteri. Steph is a familiar name here because I’ve linked to some of her Freelancedom blog posts.
- Top 10 Blogs for Writers 2009 Announced. The honorees include some of my favorite blogs, including Urban Muse, Word Count, Quips and Tips for Successful Writers and Copyblogger. Be sure to check out the full list—you may find a new favorite (or two).
