Jesaka Long | a.k.a writerYour customers expect to interact with you online. The pressure is high to have a memorable, engaging website. And you have to blog, maintain Facebook fan pages and keep up with Twitter. It can be overwhelming.

That’s where I can make a difference. A writer with a gift for storytelling, I’ve helped companies share their stories—online and offline—for nearly 14 years.

As the owner of the Denver-based company a.k.a writer, I create outside-the-lines branding and marketing content for forward-thinking, entrepreneurial companies. I’ve also been known to wield a mighty pen for Fortune 500 companies, including Starbucks Coffee Company, REI and Seattle’s favorite software industry leader.

Here’s what I can do for you:

  • Partner with you to refresh or even define your company’s brand voice.
  • Craft compelling copy for a range of projects, including online marketing website copywriting, press materials, direct mail campaigns, and printed or PDF-only brochures as well as related internal communications. The proof is in the portfolio.
  • Develop persuasive, snappy content for business-to-consumer (B2C) and business-to-business (B2B) campaigns to help drive sales.
  • Transform detailed, even technical, information into copy that can excite prospective and current customers. Just ask about my recent work on demand generation campaigns for several manufacturing industries.
  • Create and implement ongoing social media strategies, including tactics such as blogs, Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn.
  • Write video scripts as well as oversee or direct local video shoots. This script is one of my all-time favorites.
  • Work closely with your designer or connect you to design talent for logos, identity packages, websites and print materials.

Known for my humor and insight, I make even the most mundane “eat-your-vegetables” messages seem savory, sweet and tangy. I can help you develop a dynamic message and identify the optimum way to deliver it.

On the more personal side, I am a voracious reader and consider Powell’s City of Books, occupying an entire city block in Portland, Oregon, the greatest place on earth. Although I spent 13 years living in Seattle, my Colorado roots were firmly established in the 1990’s when I earned my B.A. at Colorado College. I am also an unapologetic theatre geek and currently serve as a Drama Editor for Conclave: A Journal of Character.
