Cognitive Connection August 21

August 21, 2009 — , , , ,

Congnitive Connection. Thinking. Image courtesy of stock.xchng®Just when I thought I was done posting Mad Men-related links, I found one I must share. It’s a compilation of the books some of the characters are shown reading. Hmm, maybe it’s time to start compiling my fall reading list! What about you? Are you still in beach reading mode or are you ready for a new season with new books?

Here’s what caught my eye in online this week.

  • Feelancedom. Better Than Money (This makes a great companion piece to my post on writer mills – even though blogger & writer Steph Auteri didn’t plan it that way. Don’t worry, she’s not advocating writing for content churners.)
  • Personas (Not exactly a resource, but it does tell a visual story – about you. See how your Web footprint characterizes you or anyone else you look up. Mine seemed to have a heavy book presence. Surprised?)
  • The Daily Beast. The Mad Men Book Club (Blogger Samuel P. Jacobs is keeping tabs on Don Draper’s reading habits.)
  • Urban Muse. 5 Qs with Sue William Silverman, Author of Fearless Confessions (Fearless Confessions is a helpful resource for anyone interested in memoir writing. Be sure to read the comments for even more from Silverman.)

Did you read anything that particularly stuck with you this week? Share, please! The floor is yours.
